2016 Jamis?

Hi. I am targeting buying a Jamis Coda Sport. Any idea when the 2016 will come out? Any significant changes from 2015? I saw another thread someone mentioned that they ordered and received a 2016 Trek in April!......

Bikes: 2016 Giant Fastroad CoMax 2, 2002 Jamis Tangier, Classic Nakamichi 10 speed.

I would think your Jamis dealer would be the best source for that type of information...

Already emailed 2 dealers questions and got no response. Was hoping that someone here would know. Will need to contact Jamis directly I guess....

I have worked in retail for many years. The problem you are facing is Jamis and their dealers want to sell you a bike now. They probably won't offer much help unless the bike you are looking for is readily available. They would rather have you buy now than give you reasons to wait. We used to call it "putting people on the I'll be back bus".

FYI, just because someone claimed they received a 2016 Trek doesn't mean that information is factual and it would also be applicable to Jamis.

Bikes are just like consumer electronics. There will ALWAYS be a newer better model next year. It is inevitable. However you could be riding and enjoying your 2015 Jamis right now. There is a chance the 2016 model will be LESS desirable...

Not that it matters but I bought a Jamis Tangier in 2002 and I am glad I did. I did not care for the Tangier models that came out in the following years.

I understand. Thank you very much for the response/explanation. 1 LBS did not have the bike in stock. Will try to call 2 others (who did not reply to email) and see if it is in stock so I can actually ride it and purchase.....

What is it with LBS's not responding to customers? I am noticing the same thing here in the Twin Cities. If the LBS is not going to be responsive, what is stopping people from buying bikes over the interent? Or worse yet, stopping by the LBS to test ride bikes only to buy it over the internet?

Also, having just bought an $1100 flat bar road bike, I was very surprised by how poor the selection of roughly $1,000 hybrid bikes is in most LBS, at least in the Twin Cities. Specialized is easy to find, but after the Sirrus series flat bar road bikes around $1,000 are not easy to find around here...

Bikes: 2014 Jamis Coda Elite

I do not know when the 16's will be out. A month ago I purchased a brand new left over 2014 Coda Elite for a steal of a price. I am really loving it. This bike is smooth & fast. It also looks badass. Unless you do not like the previous models colors I would suggest looking for a 14, 15 and get a great deal.

I can totally understand not buying now in hopes of getting a color you LOVE. I'm picky also. I lucked out that the 2014 was reduced over $300 and is the color I LOVE, charcoal. Lucky me

I am just annoyed that LBS will post an email address, say contact us, but not respond to me. I called some places and will be test riding the Coda Sport today I hope.

Slow Bro that is fantastic. I figure that a shop can order me a 2015 bike in the color I want at this time of year. Get it in 1-2 weeks I hope and start riding......But I will keep an open mind if there is a bargain to be had in the shop.
