This is how the A frame campers are built, the top is rigid and folds up and down and the sides collapse inwards... the split at the door is the height at which it sits when collpased.

It weighs less 1000 pounds and you can tow them behind almost any vehicle, my Jeep does not even know it is there.

It seats and sleep 4... I will probably add a 3 way stove, fridge, and furnace if I can find some decent salvage as it currently has it's original icebox and 2 burner propane stove.

I also plan to add a 12v electric system and a solar panel for lights and charging modern accessories... this will cover the forward roof panel and be exposed while the unit is folded or travelling.

This is what the Dualcraft trailers look like folded up (not mine)... I like the addition of the boat rack here.
