Nikon D5000 doesn't have WiFi. Great idea though. Although my FoPro has WiFi, so that will work.
1: No as you have no SD slot on your phone. Otherwise it would be a yes(Sorry I'm an android user)
2: Maybe... whereas I know micro to mini usb cords exist, I do not know about the proprietary apple connector to either type cords existing. I also don't know if apple has apps for linking your camera and phone. (again android user)
