Update, I tried again to go on a longer ride today and the same flipping thing happened. Had to call for a ride again. This time I took the bike back to Performance (2 hrs away) and had them look at it. Guess what? No grease anywhere on the spindle except where the non-drive side crank arm connects. The mechanic kept asking me if this was a new bike, LOL! I told him it was only a few weeks old. Anyway, he gooped it up proper and I await another go at a long ride to see if it is indeed fixed. If not, I will be shopping for a new crankset and BB.
