Put some new "clothes" on my crosscheck. Before, with 4 distinct shades of "lime" green:



Now with 1 (or 2, depending on your eye) shades of red:







This time I routed the shift cables through the opposite-side cable stops to remove one housing crossing in front. Now they cross under the downtube, and it's fine -- the rear cable just barely grazes the downtube, no added friction, and I'm not worried about wearing away paint.
