didn't have a fork handy, so I just used a loose canti braze on. The connection is really solid, even without using a wrench to tighten down the bolt
If the light was any bigger, I suppose it would be difficult to have it oriented the right way without hitting the tire, but with this light there wouldn't be a problem.
