So the Motobecane Messenger continues on the practical utility route with the addition of a pair of Banjo Brothers Market Panniers. The panniers add about 5 more pounds to the bike's weight, which is now well over 29 pounds. So far I haven't carried anything really heavy in them, so I can't say how this will affect handling, since they sit rather high and far back on the rack. For sure they seem to be very sturdily made and convenient with both interior and exterior pockets.
