No, you don't have to fix it right away. As long as you can control the bike and safely brake, you don't need to buy anything. But, neglecting to repair the wheel might cause other spokes to start wearing prematurely. A wheel is a balanced object held under tension. You can't take out one of those tensioners, ie spokes, and expect it to not have an impact on the wheel as a whole. It will not be as strong either. If you were to bash your wheel into a curb, you might find that its failure point isn't as far from that where it was rideable as you had thought.

A bunch of Specialized bikes have unique spokes, I've got an old Specialized/Alex rim in the basement. If you can identify the rim/wheel, someone here might be able to help you by posting you a spoke or two. I'd do it.
