i always thought doing something akin to NOLS would be fun, but i now find myself exploring japan and teaching english (and not doing much related to either of my degrees...go figure, but i am having fun!).
I'm at a small state school in New York. I did a NOLS semester a few years ago. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I'm planning on doing a mountaineering trip this summer.
My masters project is related bike commuting and my feeble attempt to make this city more bicycle friendly. I'm one of those weird people who like bikes and all that crazy outdoor stuff.
Ohh, Japan. Cool. That's on my list of fun places to go!
