Why bother when I can boot straight into DOS w/o even bothering with Windoz ? It boots within seconds and I can control all periferals and ports as well as memory with DOS drivers in the config.sys and autoexec.bat. Also, I don't have to worry about corrupting the registry or getting blue screens if things go askew. Just do the old ctrl-alt-del if it locks up and no harm no foul. Also, DOS doesn't need a lot of memory or a very fast processor to really scream along.
