Rootman Advice well taken but I think you'd have to make yourself a target before anyone would put forth the effort to dig deeper into you. There are probably thousands if not hundreds of thousands of internet posts everyday. Probably avoiding some simple keywords and phrases would suffice.
I forgot to add, during the speech the professional Social Engineer said almost to a person the first thing out of any victims mouth was either "I didn't think it would happen to me!" or "Why me? I have to be the most boring person on the planet!". He also added "Obscurity is NOT security".
