Bordo and the clones are lighter than most U locks and they are harder to use a tire jack to open than a U lock because they don't have a rigid frame to brace the jack into.

Their weak link is the joints between the links, though. That's what makes the ABUS ones better (and more expensive) than the cloned models from other companies.

But don't get the wrong impression, the Bordo locks are lighter than the best U locks, but they are still very heavy compared to a chain or cable lock.
