Re-dishing requires redoing spokes, not just moving and respacing the rear axle. that is what I did with an old Shimano 6 speed rear hub and it is ok but would like to have a QR setup so it is easier to change from a 17t to a 16t and back as I already have a double cog 16/17 freewheel.
