Snagged a not-sold-here Dancelli America. Very very little info on Dancelli (Colnago or Billato frame??) and none on the America model, but enough floating dust to ascertain that Shimano 105 Golden Arrow componentry was fitted on these bikes. As I find out, no serial numbers because some Italians don't believe in them. So the 105 RD dates to 1986, which makes sense given the braze-ons. No tubing decal to indicate what kind of steel it's made of, but the owner did say it was his favorite bike to ride of the several he had pedaled over the last four or so years.

$50 for the bike minus the stolen rear wheel (a reason for the sale in addition to no longer riding it). Rear chainstay length matches my '85 Peloton, so more performance-oriented. Sadly, it has been saddled with beater flat bar commuter duty and the once-chrome fork is now chrome and rusty, as are some of the Ofmega headset cups. I am thinking of sanding down and repainting the fork black as it has cool details. The frame paint is very chipped, but decals are original. Touch up paint special! Original components are Ofmega headset, BB, Shimano 105 GA DT shifters and RD. The rest was as-confessed friend-built-up bike co-op parts. :/

At 63cm, it's my size, and my name is its first three letters (ha! cool!). Current idea is to swap all the modern go-fast stuff from my killer deal AL/CF Guru (61 cm) to get a nice old school steel - new school light mix going again (I had an '89 Tempo done nearly the same way for a short time).
