Finally got to start practice making beads with the TIG welders today. I'll just say that learning to TIG for the first time on 1/16" aluminum pieces is hard.
At first, aluminum is tricky to weld, it hardly changes appearance before it melts and then it conduct heat very quickly, so it sucks all the heat away from the puddle.
Stick with it, you'll get the hang of it in no time.
