Been awhile since I've torn down a bike/and looking for info perhaps from someone who has this model. 84 Trek 420L. Is the stop on the do capeable of another nonfrench rdr? Don't want to yank it off (if a no go) Want to replace with a shimano Light action-so I would need to source a shimano band to accept the levers. Before I do all that/anyone have one of these Treks? TIA
