If you are a 'constant wrench' you could run discount rubber from Krogers. If spending your weekends tuning and messing with your bike ( not a sin in my mind) is your least favorite thing.. buy good quality and hope for the best.I run Schwalbe Marathons and Armadillos on my commuters, mostly because I ride really dirty streets.
