Inverse C&V

Didn't know how to title this so....

Many of our threads discuss how we change parts on our old (C&V) frames with newer parts, often it is the drive train. Sometimes it is brifters or RD or 6 speed to 11. Could be the post or stem or handlebars or saddle.

What about using a non C&V frame set (new than, say 20 years) and hanging C&V parts on it. Hey you could also hang older parts on newer C&V frame set if you want to. Do you have any examples or would you prefer to use the more updated parts with the static performance of the frame set?

I am guilty of both. You have probably seen this one tooooooo many times but it is a 1984 Trek with 1972 parts on it:

This is the first example and the reason for posting this here because the other thread doesn't really respond to my postings much. 2010 Langster with 1974 Campy record hubs and spokes from the same period, and newer but still C&V Superbe brake set:
