Just had a quick question, I haven't been to lucky on any of the others site or internet surfing.
I picked up a 1989 IBOC partially fillet brazed mountain bike and was curious if this was a mass produced frame from Taiwan or not.
It has a Handmade for Mongoose sticker and I haven't seen too many of these around. It also has a sticker on it that says Made In Taiwan.
I know some bike were made here and then shipped to Taiwan to be assembled or finished and then sent back to the USA to be sold as a money saving tactic.
I also heard that Tom Teasdale fillet brazed the Team fillet brazed bikes, but no one can confirm that. I'm very doubtful but thought it would be a nice touch if it was. I attached a couple photos. the fillet brazing looking super nice, not Ritchey nice but nice.
