Yeah, that was step one but the bottom was "notchy" and the top was squeaky and these are hard enough to remove and replace that total change out is called for.

Bright side is these bearings appear to be very common, I found a set (new) on Amazon last night for $4.00 each (I wouldn't buy them, too cheap, something must be wrong)

But I did buy a new set for 35.00 that look good.

Supposed to be a bear to press in but my local LBS uses my services sometimes for things, I never charge them and I get to go in and walk off with a specialty tool for an hour with no problems.
