I am looking for a threadless stem with an aggressive drop like the quill track stems.

The closest I have found is the Thomson Elite MTB stem. It comes in silver, can be up to a 15 deg rise(drop?) and comes in a 25.4 mm version which should work with the Nitto's.

Does anyone here use one? Would it work? Is there anything MTB specific that I have not thought of?
I wouldn't get so hooked on the "look" that you create an uncomfortable ride- what is it you really want to accomplish? Are you a track racer who need to be aerodynamic for a few minutes at time? Or are you an urban rider who spends long hours tooling around town? Then again, -15 deg isn't much...
