Sometimes you can look up information on Bikepedia and see what it cost when new. There's one easy link to it there. Says it was built in 1996 as the only year it was made. If it is closer to the current Alivo level than Deore that would be a different story. I wouldn't pay $300 for a 20 year old bike with entry level components.
