well i know its different, but most schools of thought in MTB state that light weight alu and carbon should be replaced every 2 - 3 years regardless due to the beating they get. given that a fork would endure a lot of stressand take little hits almost everytime you ride, replacing it every 2 years is not such a bad idea methinks...
