New forum member, here. I'm a 64 year old guy from the western suburbs of Chicago. Pretty new to cycling and have been lurking here since August. Finally decided to officially join the fun this morning.

My cycling began as a kid and pretty much ended when I began driving. I'm an avid golfer and have been playing over 50 years. A friend and I had a particularly bad round late last summer and he, a former avid cyclist, said he was going to start riding again. I, as a slightly overweight old guy, thought that sounded like fun and bought a bike the next day. I cannot believe how much fun it was to ride!

While lurking it became apparent that this forum was the place to be. Looking forward to hanging in the treehouse with you.
