Not only do I remember the milk truck dropping off bottles of milk, but there was still an ice truck in town that would drop off ice to a neighbor who still had no electricity, used kerosene to heat with and still had an "ice box" for refrigeration. This was in the early 50s and I was around five or six. On hot days the milkman would also give kids a large piece of ice to suck on. And no, he wasn't a pervert, stalker or molester. Things were different.
