I just got finished building my first fixed ride up. It's about as ghetto as you can get, an old Peugeot frame that is waay to small, heavy steel 27in. wheels, bumbike suicide hub, front brake, and too high of a gear ratio, but man is that feeling amazing.

I rode out of my driveway, dropped the hammer and.....silence. So fast, so connected, so quiet.

I'm here for good. I realize this post is probably worthless, but I am so amped right now. I think I'm going to order a Pista tommorrow, or maybe just ride this POS for bit to get used to the feeling of fixed. Anyways, now I finally understand what you all have been talking about for so long.
i felt the same man!

i built up my ghetto ass Raleigh tour bike.
took off every thing and built a new rear wheel....
i dont even have clips lol everything else is the same.
and i'm still riding it around town, to school and stuff
it's great! glad to hear another kid found out about how wonderful fixies are.
