Speaking of chrome bags and the above, the modest metropolis messenger trumps the barrage pro in transporting framesets on saddle.
I have a Metropolis and a Yalta backpack. I can fit more in the Yalta I think. I still love the Metropolis more however, as it is more comfortable, is easier to get on and off, and just fits better. I have not transported a frame with either bag yet. I did attach a track wheelset to the Yalta with bungees and it never moved. Not sure that I could have done that with a messenger style bag.
