I know this is an old thread, but I bought my dad a bontrager 300 spending a lot more money because I wanted something that would just be accurate, and on his first trip out we went 10 miles and the speedometer reported 90-some miles.

Just wondering you continued to have this problem...it kinda seems like a terrible piece of junk right now. :-/
