Well, I finally replaced that rock-hard VO leather saddle on my Grandis with my favorite, inexpensive WTB. I also moved it forward about a centimeter to match the approximate reach of my other bikes. (FWIW, replicating the fit and weight balance between all of them isn't so easy because the frames and stems are all so different.)
Anyway, the more forgiving saddle makes the bike more rideable for long stretches and the different weight distribution (or something) transformed the handling to quick but nice instead of quick but demanding attention. I've taken it out recreationally a few times, ridden to work a few times. It still doesn't handle as nice as the Masi but it is sweet, and also lighter.
