How is that crazy? I simply wanted a fork with tight clearance. Every single Italian or Japanese track bike from the past 40 years has a similar tight clearance. For some reason modern fork designers are all about catering to people that want to stick 32mm tires on their track bikes.
It's not about obsession, it's simply wanting the correct part.
It's like owning a classic Ferrari/Porsche race car and every modern reproduction suspension/spring puts the fender 5" above the tire with a large gap. You simply want the original classic low slung look where the body is low on the tire and you can't find anyone that offers this seemingly normal part.
You're not crazy for wanting that look....meanwhile everyone is saying "Just deal with the 5" tire/fender gap, it's not a big deal." Sorry, I notice it and it matters to me.
Apply this to anything else and it's normal reasoning.
