Just be aware that if you have a fairly narrow heel, you can get some heel-lift with the Lake design.

The width of the front of the standard shoe is great, as others have mentioned.

I would have chosen Lake for my recently purchased shoes (chose a Shimano model instead), if not for the heel-lift.
