Well that argument was a basis for "are the laws correct..." and "if a computer followed the laws, would everyone be safe." But when it comes to humans... well, we know that the scenario of "everyone scrupulously obeying all traffic laws" will never happen. Heck, even computer aided cars still require humans to follow the laws before they will alert the humans to errors... Ironic, eh?
I do however still contend that the laws are written for motor vehicles... that human powered vehicles, much like carpools and oil free cars, should be given special laws that encourage cycling... and even if something like Idaho stop laws were permitted...
they still require humans to obey those laws.
