My first race went 7 laps before being pulled, but by the third race, finished in the pack. Third in my next race and I was on my way. Cat 3 the following Spring and Cat 2 the Spring after that. Fast forward 5-6 years and I was burned out from maintaining a low weight, traveling, having to place in races to maintain a full sponsorship, etc. Quit and never looked back.
