I've never had to press a patch for more then 30 seconds glue on or glueless and never had one fail...never meaning very very few, maybe 3 or 4 at the most over a 40 year plus riding career.
Do you put the tube in the wheel and pump the wheel or keep it in the box?
If you put it in the wheel and pump it is almost the same as put a bed on it.
If you keep it outside the wheel after patching, then I probaly can avoid bed-step next time.
