I learned that the hard way 25 years ago when I was trying to be a tough guy by not taking pain meds. I'd at least call the orthopedic surgeon to ask if what you are going through is normal.
I'm curious why it is so beneficial to minimize sensation of pain. I would have assumed the pain keeps you from exceeding your damaged body's capabilities during healing to avoid exacerbating the injury. What's the rationale here?
