Well I'm a firm believer in soaking in an ice bath from back in my marathon days. Not sure about what they are selling...

I can say that 3 minutes in an ice bath is nothing so I guess this is supposedly much colder so you don't need as much exposure??

In a ice bath I'd go about 20 minutes. First cold, then burning, then numb = no soreness after a long (12-22 mile) run day.
