I can say that 3 minutes in an ice bath is nothing so I guess this is supposedly much colder so you don't need as much exposure??
In a ice bath I'd go about 20 minutes. First cold, then burning, then numb = no soreness after a long (12-22 mile) run day.
I have never soaked in an ice bath after any of my activities. 2 Ironman triathlons, multiple marathons and halves, 200miles/day bicycle rides, Six Gap 103 miles/11,000+ feet climbing, Cross Florida 170 miles.....love my HOT showers.
Different strokes for different folks....
