My posts in this thread were an honest attempt to assist the OP by sharing what I would pay for the bike. Others have posted the same opinions. Based on the PM's I have received, people agree the bike is worth no more than $1000.
So here is how I see it. You have quoted a "value" from the Bicycle Blue Book (which is almost never right). I posted a different opinion on what the OP should pay and you attempted to engage me in a flame war.
There is a thread in another section of this site discussing why traffic on forums is down. Here is a good example of why many people no longer participate in forums.
Do everyone else a favor and don't bother responding because they deserve better and in turn, I will return that favor by never responding to anything you post on this site again.
