I agree, it doesn't have anything to do with touring, but in large part, regardless of the title, neither does this thread, at least not anymore. And I didn't find this thread because I wandered into the Touring subforum, I found it because I typically peruse all new posts on the entire forum. This thread has hit on topics beyond touring, and that is what I'm speaking to. Some people in this thread have called out people for riding e-bikes (beyond simply critiquing where they ride them), and in doing so they have also strayed beyond the scope of touring. Its not as if only those who do tour have license to speak off-topic in this subforum. There wasn't a secret passphrase or handshake to gain entry. And no, I'm not a victim for having to read this site, I'm just telling you my story, I'm just making a point that cycling in any form is not limited to a narrow definition put forth by any single individual.
