I don't see it as a replacement for a folding bike that I would take anywhere with me, as they seem to be marketing it, but it looks like the kind of packable bike that will suit the needs of many

My experience with the Birdy is the opposite -- was great for bike-bus-bike commute; less suited to fit in luggage for cross-country air travel. I don't see this BF model going with me on a daily commute which includes tossing it in the luggage compartment of a bus or overhead in a train rack, but it looks perfect for packing to fly.

I wonder if it packs small enough to qualify as carry-on...?
