Haven't had time for a review yet but here are some pictures. Drive is 8 speed, carbon drive, click-shift.

The rear triangle is not a triangle at all. Its open. Very minimalist. Nice color by the way.

Bikes: Trek 730 (quad), 720 & 830, Bike Friday NWT, Brompton M36R & M6R, Dahon HAT060 & HT060, ...

My BF New World Tourist looks good overall. You realize what all the problems are when you begin using it and you can then tie all those problems to details.

Interesting to see a non company website picture.. the BB swings on a pivot stopping Under the seat tube,

Where other Solutions have been to have it pass By the BB shell ..

and the spring detent pins, snap in holes, to keep The rear Section and the handlebar mast fixed in place to ride, ..

so since this displaces in production , their only actual folding bike, the Tikit, their product line is to be henceforward
EZ knock down bikes now, not 'folding' bikes ..

Bikes: Brompton S3L

From a design perspective:

Behind the seat/top tube junction where the rear triangle engages the frame (imagine a lot of force pushing down on the seat, the shape of the cut tubing would appear to force the joint apart.

The stem to fork/stem piece junction, if that is to remain removable, how can you possibly have enough of a tolerance fit to make it stiff, yet still come apart? If the design is what it appears to be, a friction fit held in place by a pin, good luck.

The little kickstand on the rear triangle is a sure casualty relying only on a braze or a weld to hold it in place.

Plastic folding pedals? On a bike north of $1k? (well, they appear to be plastic).

A commuter would be adrift without fenders, and some would want a rack or a place to click on a bag of some sort without having to take it apart to fold.

Just don’t get its utility. Doesn’t fold easily, huge backpack to stuff it in, bits and pieces to fall off when jarred.

The Little Fork piece looks like the piece LBS sells in pairs , to Hunters to put on their MTB bars . for carrying Bow Or Rifle into the Woods.

You are undoubtedly the kinf of guy who will choose your own pedals The Company Ususlly ships their Bikes without pedals

Or a Saddle since people all have different tastes ..

Brompton only ships with a folding Left pedal..

Hurry and Order a Tikit If You want a Bike friday Folding bike , It took production time-space from the Sat R Day

a recumbent ypu could pack in a suitcase .

now the PackIt is in turn, displacing the Tikit.

Bike Friday, still the only multi sized Frame folding bike ..

1. Not sure on this one.
2. It also has a quick release like a seat tube.
3. It's attached with a clamp and is removable.
4. Metal with rubber coating. Personally, I'll put on clipless.
5. Has braze ons for rack. Probably coming soon.
6. Seems to fold pretty easily and fast for me.

Bit heavier than I thought Probably will lose a pound when I change the pedals.

First impressions - just got back from a 14 mile ride. I was surprised how smooth the ride is. Maybe I'm just used to 700x25 tires but I was really impressed with the ride. Position is, of course, more upright than I'm use to but it's comfortable. May put on a slightly longer stem. The bike is extremely quiet because of the belt drive. Shifting is much quicker and smoother than a derailleur based system. Not sure what the gear ratios are but the top end gear ratio is a little low. Bottom end is fine for the hills I usually encounter.

Pedals have to go. Speedplay Frogs will only stick out 3/4 of an inch more. I'll probably have to replace the Cane Creek Crosstop brake levers too. They are very close to the bars and do not seem to be able to be adjusted so they do not interfere with a comfortable position for the click shifter. I wonder if they were selected to be used with the twist-shifters.

That's a touchy question on bike forums, so it is best avoided. For ballpark look at their website or give them a call.

I'm fascinated by this bike. Thanks for sharing your photos and impressions. I look forward to hearing more.

Was your order a kickstarter order or direct from their website? I can see refusing to do any customizing on a kickstarter order - those are basically all "as is" in the descriptions and would be a nightmare to mix n match on. Plus, you could just buy an H bar and put it on yourself later.
But if your order was from their website, I am stunned that you could not get what you wanted. Certainly my experience with them has been stellar.
