If you look at the comparative gear inches for each option on the Kinetic site you might conclude that certainly for the 11 speed it's just not worth it in terms of overall range :-

8 speed : 24in to 74in
11 speed : 24in to 99in

3 speed : 44in to 79in
6 speed : 33in to 99in
