Off topic, but there were a lot of Michigan connections to that Olympic velodrome. The builder, several officials, one of the on site announcers (a poster here on BF). And part of the venue security (the velodrome and as I remember the archery complex were together?) was a MI National Guard unit.
Yeah, one of Dale's first world famous velodromes. He's still building them, done one in Chicago, Cleveland, and trying like heck to build one in Detroit.
