I called Bike Friday and discovered that the disc brake hub was part of my order, and I suspect it may have been an error on the part of sales, who took my order over the phone, when we were discussing disc brakes. The bike was a present for my girlfriend who is recovering from hip surgery, as an incentive to get her biking again. She says she loves the bike and can live with things as they are.
