A couple of my old school friends put a 7litre V8 into a ford falcon. Of course they saw the need to add nitrous ahead of any requirement for a rollcage! On the inaugural test run they couldn't shut the engine off: the thing was ticking over on pressure of the NO bottles (yes plural). Once they got the flow regulated properly it was a dead set rocket.

Anyway they sold it to some guy in Sydney. He rang up the same afternoon to say he broke it. Apparently he'd put the foot down and left it there as soon as he hit the freeway. About brooklyn the C4 auto decided that enough was enough and locked up. The car did multiple 360's at very high speed. Somehow it didn't roll.
