The 1970 through '72 P15 came with a Campagnolo Gran Turismo derailleur. The Crane GS was a common dealer or owner upgrade for those at the time.
My December '72 P15 was delivered from the factory with the Crane long cage RD, rebadged as a Schwinn-Approved GT-300 "Le Tour" derailleur.

Here are the 1973 Paramount catalog pages for the P15-9 and P10-9. Note that in the "Derailleurs and Gears" section on the P10 page, it states "The P15 Paramount is equipped with the new Schwinn-Approved GT-300 "Le Tour" derailleur with outstanding wide-range shifting capabilities..."
