I use clips/straps on my Fuji Newest 3.0. I don't like being attached to my bike permanently and didn't like clipless when I tried them. I've used them on all of my tours. Most recently on my ~5,200 mile tour this summer.

Mine are adjustable. Not sure if they all are though? Not too familiar with them since i've had the same pair the entirety of my bike riding life.

Whatever is comfortable for you is your best bet I would say!
