I have this exact extender on my Robinhood. Once everything is tighten down, it is rigid enough. You will need a very long hex wrench or a hex bit on an extension to tighten the bolt of the extender to the steer tube. Then you attach your stem as usual.

Alternatively, you can replace your current stem with this long one. It is steel so it is heavy but it might be lighter than the extender + original stem combo.
