I see that, but both kid and I are into the weigh weenie, got to have the best performance in the best condition types. Even in some races with dirt sections we planned on changing wheels from Roubaix to racers. For those like use I can't see an advantage of a 31 on the road for performance. I road 28s

If "they" continue to add gravel, dirt and mud to road races then I can see a 31 out there. Otherwise the weight and aero aspect put them where the negatives outweigh the benefits.
