i think you understand what im asking. im weighing my options and deciding on what frameset to buy. im leaning strongly towards a mercian super vigorelli. imo, mercian frames have and intrinsic vintage look to them--their paint and decal options definately point in that direction. this is where the conflict occurs. in order to afford the vigorelli frameset, i will have to sell my current track bike frameset. most of the parts that are transferable from my current bike push the modern look: chris king threadset, FSA chainring, thomson seatpost, DuraAce 7710 crankset, selle italia slr. in order to build the bike to my likes, ill have to not include the nice bits i already have. so im looking to find the right balance... i like my duraAce cranks too much...
